Buddhist Meditation in the Samatha Tradition
Monday 6 February, 7.30pm - 9.00pm ,
Samatha means calm. This is a gentle and objective technique to develop the mind, leading to peace and understandind using the brath as an object of contemplation. Teaching is graduadet over a period of around 24 weeks with the opportunity to discus progress with a teacher. Some theory from Buddhist tradition is provided to support the practise. You may join at any time. All welcome.
A graduated beginners course to help develop strength and freedom from turmoil. You may bring a cushion or mat.
